Duquesne Club Wedding, Jessica and Zach

Jess and Zach have been together for quite some time but it wasn’t long into their relationship that they realized this was the person they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. They both love dinners out in Pittsburgh, traveling and bingeing crime shows together. They also have one of the cutest proposal stories I’ve ever heard. Zach asked Jess to dress up for a night out on the town and while she was getting ready, he “went to do some laundry”.. and never returned. He left a note for her in their room and sent her on a scavenger hunt, which led to her final destination - Zach, on one knee inside a heart of rose petals asking for her hand. Fellas, if that doesn’t set the bar high, I don’t know what will. ;-)

The two of them were married on a beautiful February day at the stunning First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh with their reception following across the street at the Duquesne Club. Jess looked absolutely stunning in her long sleeved dress from Demetrios and I’ve never seen a groom’s jaw actually drop before! Jess and Zach are incredibly warm and genuine and clearly have a lot of love, respect and admiration for each other. Everyone who took part in this wedding was just full of smiles (and a few happy tears) all day long.

To say I enjoyed myself and creating these pictures is an understatement. And so with that I have created an extra long wedding photo post to share so many of my favorite moments and images from the day! I hope you’ll take a peek! xoxo

Special thanks to Katie for helping to second shoot this wedding, some of her images are mixed in above. And an extra thanks to all the rest of the vendor team that made this wedding as beautiful as possible!

Green Gables Wedding, Hannah & Connor, Ligonier Wedding Photographer

Hannah and Conor have been together since they were 10 years old, and while they didn’t start dating at quite that tender age, it wasn’t too many years later in high school when their longtime friendship turned into something more. After ten years of dating, it’s needless to say they were each a significant part of the other’s family. So this day, that officially combined their two lives, was a very special one for all. The day included many special details as well'; all of the girls wore butterfly hair clips to honor one of their childhood friends that was no longer with them, Hannah’s Dad made her a necklace out of her grandmother’s engagement ring, the couple made placecards out of mini Heinz ketchup bottles and cocktail napkins included fun facts about the bride and groom on their cookie table. The sun was warm and happiness and light radiated throughout the day. There may have been a few tears, but all were for love of this genuine, kind and loving couple.

I was so honored to be there to capture these moments for these two and I did nothing but smile all day. Thank you, thank you Hannah and Conor for allowing me to document this very special day for you!

A special thanks to my dear friend Susie, who helped second shoot this wedding day with me, some of her images are mixed in above. And a special shoutout to all of these vendors for making this day so lovely:
